Activity 2

Think about the company you are working for right now or would like to work in the future and do the following tasks:

  1. Select a cause that is aligned with that company goals (e.g. Child rights, Poverty, Social Injustice, Environment Conservation, Human Rights, Care for elderly people, Women Empowerment, Wildlife Conservation, etc.)
  2. Choose NGO partners that could help you to fight for your chosen cause.
  3. Write a short 150 words paragraph outlining how your company and partners could engage in creating positive change in your chosen cause. 
  4. Write a list of communication and media channels that could be used to communicate with the public and different forms to do it (podcasts, blogs, interviews, TV shows, radio channels, etc.)

Activity 3

Review results of the Activity 2 and answer the following questions:

  1. Is the cause chosen in line with your company goals?
  2. Is the company’s choice of NGO partner in line with the cause selected?
  3. Did you think a concrete goal for the collaboration with chosen NGOs? What is it?
  4. Does your written 150 paragraph outlining how your company and partners could engage in creating positive change in your chosen cause mention company employees and their role in it? If not, think of ways to engage them.
  5. What was your chosen main communication tool? Why?
  6. What effect this collaboration with NGO would have on your company and general public at large?

Activity 5: Understanding your Stakeholders

Pick your top 5 Stakeholders and answer the questions:

  • What is important to them?
  • What do they care about?
  • What are they most concerned about?
  • What are the challenges they face?
